Peel and grate potatoes.
Put grated potatoes inside a (clean) tea towel, and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
Crack the egg into a medium bowl, beat. Add potato, grated cheese, flour and salt, combine.
Add oil to pan, and put on high until oil is hot then turn down to medium. Fill a 1/4 cup measuring cup with mixture and carefully place onto pan. Flatten with egg slide. Repeat with remaining mixture.
Fry Hash browns until they are light brown around edges, then flip cooking for another minute or so.
Once cooked place hash brown onto some paper towel to soak up excess oil, don't not cover or they will go soggy. Enjoy!
