Feast Day : April 20th

Patroness: of young girls

This year on Easter Sunday Saint Agnes’ feast day falls on the same day!

Alleluia our Lord has resurrected!

Just a little on Saint Agnes!

Saint Agnes, like all the saints has a deep faith in God. She entered the Dominicans at Montepulciano monastery at the young and youthful age of nine. Although this seems strange for us, God calls us all to be different kinds of witnesses to his love. She demonstrated great sanctity and was elected at the age of fifteen to be abbess of the monastery of Procedo. She later became abbess of Santa Maria Novella and brought many people to the faith through her life.

Her name Agnes means pure and chase.

Saint Agnes, pray for us.
