I’m Normal, Right?

How Many Of These Can You Relate to?

  1. Waiting to get out on a date night with your husband just to hold hands and speak without being interrupted, but then ending up talking about your children 90% of the time.
  2. Telling your children you love them ‘all the same’, but in your head, secretly having a favourite!
  3. When everything begins to sound like it’s a baby crying. A bird in the distance, one of your kid’s toys being activated…
  4. Being secretly happy when one of those ‘noisy toys’ of your child’s breaks and you think, YIPPEE!
  5. Being SO happy your kids are finally in bed, then flicking through photos and videos of your kids on your phone thinking just how adorable they are.
  6. Saying, “I am going to count to three. ONE…TWO…” but you never actually hit three
  7. Thinking, “I’ll call that friend now, since my kids are being quiet”, and within 5 seconds of picking up the phone there is turmoil.
  8. Singing your heart out while driving. After all, your children are the most non-judgmental audience ever!
  9. Hiding when you hear your children approaching saying “where’s MUM”, secretly hoping they may not find you, giving you 5 minutes of peace.
  10. Using your phone in the toilet, even if you don’t have to go, simply so your kids can’t get to you.
  11. Not realizing JUST. HOW. TIRED. YOU. ARE until you lie on that bed and your head hits that pillow!
