These are quick and easy to make and will add a pop of colour and fresh look to your furniture.
You will need:
- Cushion insert
- Fabric
- Sewing machine
- Pins
- Scissors
- Thread
- Press fasteners (or buttons if you prefer)
What to do:
Trace around you cushion insert on paper. Cut one piece of fabric this size.
Add two inches lengthways to your template from step one and cut one piece of fabric this size.
Cut this piece of fabric into two pieces, one wider than the other. Fold back one inch on each of these cut pieces and sew, this will be where your press fasteners or buttons will go.
Pin these two pieces together so that the one inch seams overlap.
Pin right sides together to the fabric from step 2. Sew along all edges
.
Attach press fasteners following the packet directions.
Pop your cushion insert inside and voila!
