Chocolate Sauce Pudding is a delicious treat for the family. Just put it in the oven just before you start cooking dinner and it should be ready just in time for dessert!

Chocolate Sauce Pudding
Ingredients
- 60 g butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- Canola-oil spray
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder extra
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 teaspoons icing sugar mixture optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180oC. Put large saucepan on stove, on medium heat. Add butter and milk, stir until butter is melted. Remove from heat.
- Sift flour and cocoa into a medium bowl. Stir the caster sugar and vanilla essence into warm butter and milk mixture, add the sifted ingredients and stir to combine.
- Spray oven proof dish with canola spray. Dish should have volume 1.5L approx. Pour chocolate mixture into dish.
- 4. Sift brown sugar and extra cocoa powder (use a spoon to push through sugar if needed) over chocolate mixture.
- 5. Gradually pour the boiling water over the back of a wooden spoon onto the chocolate mixture. Put the pudding into the oven and bake it for 50min or until skewer comes out clean.
- Leave to sit for 5 minutes then sift icing sugar over the top to serve.
