Cheesy Hash Browns

 

Cheesy Hash Browns are a quick and easy snack, delicious breakfast or lunch. And a great way to get the kids to eat potato!

Cheesy Hash Browns

Servings 6

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Medium Potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Peel and grate potatoes.
  • Put grated potatoes inside a (clean) tea towel, and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
  • Crack the egg into a medium bowl, beat. Add potato, grated cheese, flour and salt, combine.
  • Add oil to pan, and put on high until oil is hot then turn down to medium. Fill a 1/4 cup measuring cup with mixture and carefully place onto pan. Flatten with egg slide. Repeat with remaining mixture.
  • Fry Hash browns until they are light brown around edges, then flip cooking for another minute or so.
  • Once cooked place hash brown onto some paper towel to soak up excess oil, don't not cover or they will go soggy. Enjoy!
