The Way by St. Josemaría Escrivá

The Way is written in a direct, conversational style. One of the reasons I love this book is that author, St Josemaria has written in a way enabling you to live out your faith in daily situations; how you can turn ordinary circumstances into acts of love for God. Its short, reflective paragraphs make it easy to pick up and read.

From the author’s preface it says: “Read these counsels slowly. Pause to meditate on these thoughts. They are things that I whisper in your ear-confiding them-as a friend, as a brother, as a father. And they are being heard by God. I won’t tell you anything new. I will only stir your memory, so that some thought will arise and strike you; and so you will better your life and set out along ways of prayer and of Love. And in the end you will be a more worthy soul.”

A beautiful book to use for doing some mental, reflective prayer. I read a couple of points each day and meditiate on them depending on which topic I wish to pray about. The points of The Way really make you consider your relationship with God and with others.

A book highly recommended to anyone for daily use.
