Saint Cyricus and Saint Julitta

Patron of Children
Cyricus and Julitta were mother and son whom both professed their faith and died for it. I thought this weeks, Saint of the Week, was fitting it as was these two saints are the patron and protector of children.
In the fourth century these two saints were persecuted and martyred. St Cyricus was only three years of age who professed his faith and was thrown very violently on the ground by a magistrate whom was interrogating himself and his mother. Cyricus’ mother, Julitta, saw this action against her son and was later beheaded herself for proclaiming her faith. Not much else is known about these ancient saints.
