Things change as your kids get older. When we first started praying the Stations of the Cross as a family during Lent, I printed off these prayers and reflections and off we went. Now my eldest can read fluently and wants to read them. So this year I collated them into an A6 size booklet and made one for each of us. The size is good for small hands and it is so much easier than sharing one copy with a child who can’t hold it particularly still! I also added in the introductory and concluding prayer we use and the prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father.

The PDF is ready to print in booklet form. So print double sided on A5 sized paper (I just cut some A4 sheets in half) – page 2 on the back of page 1, page 4 on the back of page 3 etc. The way I do it is to print the odd pages in order, flip the printed pages over and put them back in the printer, and then print the even pages in reverse order. Or if your printer has a “duplex” or “manual duplex” option you can do that. Once it’s printed, you can fold them all in half and staple through the spine and your booklet is complete. To staple, I open up the stapler and put the booklet on carpet so the open staples can go through, and then push the staples closed with my fingers. I also printed the cover (page 1) on card for extra durability.
