These are adorable and very easy to make. You can even sew them up with scraps leftover from other projects!
What you’ll need:
- Pattern (at bottom of post)
- Main fabric in white
- Thin white cotton for underside
- Flesh /white coloured felt
- Bias binding (or make your own using strips of fabric)
- Embroidery thread.
What to do:
Cut out pattern pieces.
Pin onto relevant fabrics and cut.
Pin fabric for blanket section wrong sides together and tack edges.
Attach bias binding.
Sew.
Set aside.
Pin face piece to right side of front head piece.
Sew in place.
Using embroidery thread sew on a simple face.
Pin ears in place. Tack.
Pin back head pieces to front head piece, right sides facing, and fold over centre edges like this:
Sew in place.
Turn right side out and stuff.
Hand sew back opening closed.
Pin head onto one corner of blanket. Hand sew in place.
Make a small bow and sew in place.
A cute baby toy that can be personalised for gender and can even double as a present for a Baptism.
