The Annunciation is a beautiful solemnity in the Church’s calendar. It is a moment in history when Mary said yes to God in the most profound way; she became the Mother of God.
The following is a craft activity you can make with the kids to celebrate the Annunciation at home.
What you need:
- Template which you can find below
- White card (or regular paper and two toilet rolls)
- Textas/pencils
- Glue
- Scissors
What to do:
Print the template onto card or paper.
Colour.
Cut around images.
On the Angel Gabriel I cut around the wings as shown below so that they would sit out straight rather than flat once he was rolled up.
If you used white card, glue inside the dotted line and join the ends together.
If you used regular printer paper glue the image directly onto toilet roll.
And you’re done!
If you’re feeling creative you can make a backdrop for this craft, featuring the Holy Spirit, Mary’s spouse.
